I’ve spent a lot of time in dark-red MAGA backwaters—places like SW coastal Oregon, northern Idaho, the Ozarks, small-town TX. And I’m here to tell you that there’s lots of “folks” that can’t conceptualize the scale of wealth gap in America and who instinctively dislike anybody that isn’t white
Every 2-4 years, a bunch of left-wing populists have the brilliant thought “Hey, what if people’s resentment of social minorities is actually just sublimated resentment for capitalist elites?” and then we get to spend 2-4 years once again learning that no, it’s very much the reverse

I think this is gratuitous, because I think MAGA is going to run out of steam before we all get to shooting each other. They’re too incompetent to succeed.
That said, if I wasn’t already a Coloradan with a stocked gun safe, I’d be at a good gun shop, figuring it out.
