Ironically, one of the few benign uses for A.I. I can think of would be to generate effective alt text for images online for the visually impaired.

Alt-text is a courtesy, it's not mandatory. Jackasses like @kimifw.bsky.social make this site a worse place by arrogantly sneering at artists as if they owe them something. It all comes down to an over-inflated sense of moral superiority, which they use to justify bullying and anti-social behavior.
i think the accessibility features on bluesky are great but because i don't use the platform often, i always forget they're there. whenever i post my art, i post the same thing on all my socials at the same time, so it's a lot of copypasting.
