Apparently, they don’t hand out a Nobel Peace Prize to those who negotiated a ceasefire they had sabotaged a year ago just to get elected.

"That is the behavior of a dictator, and Mike Johnson's job is to stand there and tell you that all of it is completely normal."

@saletan.bsky.social has a story today on how Johnson is a flunky who will rationalize Trump's crimes.

4 months ago, someone on Team Trump told me they were laughing at the whole “No Kings” thing. They’re not laughing at it anymore. Team Trump is now scared to death of the “No Kings” movement. Just listen to how desperately they attack it. Today’s show.👇 podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/t...

There were 18 shootings in Chicago this weekend, while under federal occupation.

It’s clear they are deploying into these cities to make drama not to decrease violence.

Clarence Thomas’s concurrence (joined by Gorsuch) in Seila Law offers his arrogant answer to this question which is Thomas says Humphrey’s Executor was wrong the moment it was decided and has always been wrong, notwithstanding decades of jurists apparently not noticing

"That’s the sound of a man who will do nothing to challenge—and anything to justify—presidential violations of the Constitution, as long as the president is of his own party.

The American founders expected better leaders than Johnson.'

JUST NOW: Trump asks President Herzog to pardon Netanyahu, who faces multiple corruption charges

(Birds of a feather — so he knows he’s guilty then?😬)

When I posted a meme saying that we should support Tish James like we did Jimmy Kimmel, heaps of white people began attacking me. Not on Twitter, here on BlueSky. A whole bunch of guilt ridden, hit dogs came here to holler. The problem with America is that racism survives progressivism.

there's a bit I have never forgotten in the first Captain America movie:

"[The Red Skull] believes he walks in the footsteps of the gods."
"You do realize that's nuts, dontcha?"
"The sanity of the plan is of no consequence"
"And why is that?"
"𝘉𝘦𝘤𝘢𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘩𝘦 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘥𝘰 𝘪𝘵."

I think about this a lot...

I'll say it: I think its rly annoying and frankly amateurish that writers are constantly told their villains must be understandable or have sympathetic motivation to be interesting or realistic when all our big villains irl are in fact rich, stupid, selfish, trickster dillweeds and always have been

That @JoeBiden put out this magnanimous & gracious statement AFTER all the horrible, dishonest things Trump said about Biden today, says so much about who Joe Biden is as a person. And reminds us all once again of what an utterly horrible, small, bad, & insecure person Trump is.

There have been brave & courageous war correspondents & reporters throughout history who have uncovered fraud, corruption, abuses and worse inside DOD and the military industrial complex over decades.

Then you have useless hacks that would sign on to Hegseth’s censorship rules.

A Utah pastor has sparked outrage after calling for the execution of "rebellious" young Black men.

He argued that the U.S. government should adopt "just laws" from the Bible, specifically Deuteronomy 21, to "Black culture," which he described as "evil, murderous, violent, and bestial."
