Fun overview of the popcorn kissing soap-opera apocalypse aspect of The Power Fantasy. If you're not a back-to-basics kind of X-fan, this is your book.

I’m actually gonna get out of my replies and use this story to highlight something that I haven’t for a while: the complete lack of transparency and communication from our public agencies in B.C./Canada. So here’s a thread

What's hilarious about this Brad Bradford nonsense argument is that we are paying a billion dollars and screwing up the eastern waterfront for generations to repair the east Gardiner in order to save far fewer drivers even less time!

But drivers count and transit riders don't!

#TOpoli #RapidTO
"Even if the estimates are correct, I don't believe shaving as little as three minutes off the average transit trip is worth the impact on businesses, local residents and drivers — that's in keeping with Steve Munro's perspective as well," says Councillor Brad Bradford of RapidTO.

As much as I love Romita Sr., his style setting the standard meant we didn't get another lithe, gangly-agile Spider-Man for decades after Ditko.

Never considered what the demonym would be for people of Kansas City. Makes sense they don't confuse things by calling themselves Kansas Citizens but it's a little funny to have to use "Citians." As always, Glasgow has the best one. People from KC could be Kanswegians!

I feel like when gamers talk about hobbies they mean just consuming media.
Absolutely laughable to call gaming "one of the most expensive hobbies around" because a video game costs ten dollars more. Gamers are children and should be treated with distain.

Have to wonder what the national reaction would be to Toronto wanting to become its own Province. Surely the concerns of millions of people would be taken seriously.

But it's not ironic. Threats from America and anti-Americanism are embedded all throughout our history. It might be the thing that most *consistently* unites us.
How ironic it is that it took a malignantly narcissistic American president to unite Canadians.

Doug Ford suddenly seems to care about local democracy, after running roughshod over it for years, thanks to an innocuous motion about a report on a potential Indigenous member of Toronto city council, writes Glyn Bowerman spacing.ca/toronto/2025...

In case you missed it: democracy is being usurped! At least, that’s what some of the loudest right-wing voices in Toronto are warning us. And it’s not because of American boots marching over the borde...

Shawn Micallef: There were once ambitious plans for this major new Toronto transit hub. How did it go from grand to bland?
The province has released illustrations of the East Harbour Transit Hub a huge project near the Don River and Lake Shore Boulevard that’s expected to serve up to 100,000 people a day.
