Totally untrue garbage from @thetimes.com & @dailymail.co.uk today - smear dressed up as journalism. Some facts:
- There is no “£900 desk”
- my constituency office has Ikea desks/chairs
- we significantly underspent the new MPs allowance to set up an office
www.thetimes.com/uk/politics/...
Treasury minister leading budget plans spent £900 on desk
Torsten Bell, who is working with Rachel Reeves to fill a £30 billion hole in finances, also used his parliamentary expenses to claim £600 for three chairs

Once again, the main day of Tea Party protests had about 300,000 nationwide, but saw endless coverage.

The No Kings protests had about 7,000,000 nationwide, and many media outlets reacted with a yawn.

No Kings was nearly 25x as big as the Tea Party but the Tea Party got 25x the attention.
Ask yourself this: How would the New York Times have covered the protests if it had been seven million MAGA supporters flooding the streets? We don’t even have to guess: We know how they and other mainstream outlets covered the Tea Party protests during Obama’s first term.
whoever wrote that is well horny for you, especially your chest hair
So he thinks everyone who is non white is a migrant?

I think we know what he is.
If you vote for Reform you are a racist, if anyone in your your family does: yup racists. Every single time a reform MP is on telly - they get shown this clip are reminded of how racist they are. This kowtowing to fucking scum racists need to stop.
Reform UK MP Sarah Pochin, “It drives me mad seeing adverts full of black people, full of Asian people, full of anything other than white"

Followed by that time Sarah Pochin said, "My kids say: mum, you're such a moron" 👀
Moose, come on now, the nineties were very recent. I should know - I was there.
I remember Farage having a massive tantrum via phone with a colleague because he was supposed to be doing a live from the European Parliament but they'd locked him out of the building. His ranting was hilarious, mostly because he obviously thought he was President level important instead of a twat
I had a huge row with a friend of mine about racism being behind much of the Trump fanbase.

It's behind everything
So you should really watch this. Just 2 minutes. But a window into the truly radical nature of the people Trump is nominating.

When pressed today, the nominee to be Ambassador to South Africa refuses to oppose reinstituting laws to prevent black people from voting in America.
You know, you can be a better reporter and analyst than this. Your understanding of these stats is really poor and your headline entirely misleading. You are either ignorant of this or wilfully fudging the facts. Only you know which one. Neither is a good look.

dear US friends, when a sitting president (re)builds the seat of government, it almost always means the president has no intention of leaving at the end of term. your African friends with decades of experience

And some arsehole thought this was great...
Oh my god some fucking tech dingdong posted this on Twitter with the caption "AI games are going to be amazing" totally seriously, you have to watch it. You have to. In full screen.
I'm gutted at how WELCOMING the creative industries have been to AI. "Oh yeah please come and ruin our lives, take our jobs and feed utter garbage to the tv viewer/film lover/art appreciator." I could scream.
Fuck. This. Shit
David and Larry Ellisons’ sloptastic vision for Hollywood is coming into focus:

“Paramount has reportedly signed a $200M+ multiyear deal for Higgsfield AI to use mass-use Popcorn AI model that ingests dailies and script notes, then outputs regional cuts: new leads, alternate jokes, revised endings”

Corporations are lining up to fund Trump’s supersized ballroom.

They’re not donating out of patriotism, they’re buying access. And everyone should see the problem with that.

Pay-to-play in plain sight.
I also want to talk to the TV exec who decided every single fucking episode of a series needs to begin with an extended pre-title sequence: "I'm here, doing this, then that, and then this some more, wheee, look at this, wonder at that, with these people, and this dog, and probably a bug." Hate them
Indeed, it was a little gem of a video
Via Press Gazette: "The Daily Star’s livestream of the Liz Truss lettuce has been acquired by the British Film Institute’s National Archive for a collection of significant pieces of online video. The BFI’s curator said it was “a seminal moment in British political history”"
got Unzoomed in one today ending my run of getting in in two...

This averages out at a violation roughly every four hours, around the clock, continuously since 10 October. At what point do we stop calling it a ceasefire when Israel has just literally not ceased firing

I was THRILLED when my first public transport journey in London following a traumatising stint in the Middle east meant sitting at a bus stop on Grays Inn Road next to a man in a vivid pink sari and biker boots.
