That phrasing really did make me laugh!

Not least because Norman Bay sounds like a northern workingman's club comedian from the early '70s, after whom the camping and caravanning coin might plausibly have been named.
Haha, it's fair to say they were in uncharted territory at that stage!

The death of multi-camera TV: a thread. I know most of you will know the technical parts of this (and may have read it in the other place) but bear with me. 1/ 🧵

Well, #DoctorWho is 61 today. How better to celebrate? An Unearthly Child, in Lime Grove D, 1963! #CGSets
Wow, yes that must have been a hair-raising situation – there would've been literally no room left for any further delays, or else it would've been going out live..!

What was the delay after Tenth Planet, just bedding in the new Doctor?

Now I'm wondering whether the American term "persnickety" might've been current in Britain in (Mrs) Pepys' time – the UK equivalent, at least in modern times, would be "pernickety". But given how AmEn preserves certain earlier wordforms and phrasings that no longer exist in BrEn, it's possible..!

Huh - I really was not expecting Haaland's taste in both modern and canonical classical music to be this good.

"Grizzly"? Did the king have him mauled by a bear? A cruel and unusual punishment indeed 🤣🐻

We got our own version of 'Thursday Murder Club' on NITFLIX, but it called 'THE MONDAY TUESDAY WEDNESDAY THURSDAY FRIDAY SATURDAY SUNDAY MURDER CLUB'.
It about a bunch of elderly Ogrons living in a retirement home.
But it less about SOLVING murders and more about PLANNING them!😁

Ooo the newest iPhone has an eye that opens and looks around while you're asleep. The eye is fully organic and if you put your ear near it you can hear it sliming as it swivels in the socket.

It is looking for things you don't need to worry about.

It's so weird how people always say Ghandi instead of Gandhi. Like, why is that 'h' so impatient that it has to jump the queue?
Outstanding t-shirt Sooz! 😂

The first time Charlie Chaplin used his voice in a film, he wielded it to forcefully condemn the rising forces of fascism around the globe. Will we listen to his words today?
