Extremely disappointing but truthfully not that surprising; Cave has been shifting from "I use Christian imagery for aesthetic reasons" to "I am actually an unironic Christian" for a minute now. Many such cases, unfortunately.

To it's credit I think that it fails in interesting ways for interesting reasons, and an interesting failure is preferable to a frictionless success. But still.

Saw Weapons last night. Enjoyable but disappointing. Felt like a movie that misunderstood itself, that considered itself to be much Weirder (capital W) than it actually was. And the ending chase sequence was a complete and total miss. Punctured the whole thing to ridiculousness.
