They want it to look like an intimidating show of force.

There’s also something more nefarious behind it…. Which is that they’re counting on society to not care if a disabled person gets *more* disabled.

I don't have one f*cking car, but I make do with Lyft. IT'S GONNA BE A LOT HARDER WITHOUT #SNAP.
Donnie needs a firehose in his shower so his "hair" will look right. I have to cut my own hair at home because I can't afford to take a Lyft to a salon. Was I whining? No.

October 23rd. #HelpFolksLive2025 thread. Something's *always* due & food is *always* needed. Things only get better with community action. *Now* is when folks need food, water, shelter, meds. *Now* is when we/the community needs to be there for each other. There's no one else. Just us.

if you're about to open your mouth and suggest one of the following to chronically ill/disabled people: ·yoga - exercise - pot -stopping all medications -vitamins -natural remedies -going vegetarian/vegan -acupuncture colon cleansing (this is a weird one but i've had that suggested) -not sleeping so much -getting more sleep -"stop thinking so negatively!"/"be positive!" ask the nearest person to tape vour mouth shut and re-evaluate your life choices up until that moment.

We have heat. We HAD SNAP because my mother is disabled. We weren't complaing. I started complaining when food prices and Lyft fares went up.

I mean, hell, we have a "low-flow" showerhead because half the water that's supposed to run out the showerhead runs out the faucet, and every pipe in our house needs replacing, and our stove is broken, but we weren't complaining. We were Getting Along.
