American institutions don't crumble. But they can be destroyed.
"Whereas the beautiful is limited, the sublime is limitless, so that the mind in the presence of the sublime, attempting to imagine what it cannot, has pain in the failure but pleasure in contemplating the immensity of the attempt." - Emanuel Kant
Those high notes are something quite special, yes? Exquisite. Enjoy.
#FirstBirdOfMyDay: I went looking for coffee, then an address. I found a new building, but old trees by a lake. A Palm Warbler, newly arrived Fall migrant, forged on the ground then flew into branches and blended into tiny just yellowing leaves.

Thanks. Your article encapsulates and channels, for me, so many wonderful thoughts and ideas and is perhaps the most exciting piece of writing I've read in more than a few months. I can't wait to discover more. Was the 365-day calendar of sheds project successful and/or ongoing?
I love your use of "Shed. It caught my attention a few days ago and am curious about your source and meaning. Eons ago it was a hip parlance for work or practice. Yesterday, I came across usage of the word "shedding" by a composer/musician. Capitalized, for you, is it also an actual place?

"If passed in Montana — and if other states follow — the initiative could profoundly change American politics."
