As I said... I like Hank
The book treats Beast's interview as bad. But it's a great way to undermine these people. Chuck trying to reason with them in a repectful debate legitimizes them. Hank just called it as is and got Creed to lose his composure. Hank treated it as the farce it is.

I love Beast. It's the writers I hate.
I could be so many things if I had the sense to reach out to the people who could make me those things. There's something not right about me and I don't know that I have what it takes to fix it.
One thing I wish I had learned in Journalism school -- which was twenty years ago and seemingly multiple lifetimes for me peronally -- is pitching. It's a huge part of the job but I think it's assumed it will just be part of people's nature.

I'm glad that when Chris Claremont returned to the X-Men after a near-decade absence, they didn't overhype it so that people would be let down in case he didn't prove to have the magic touch. Really great job managing expectations here.
