Maybe this is an artifact of Elon's stewardship of this website, but the "No Kings" stuff — the language, the iconography, even the notion that Trump wants to be a *monarch* — is just totally foreign to me. I don't know where it comes from. Definitely not here.

they’re getting dumber and more right wing but they are now smarter and more left wing in comparison to the people they see on twitter all day (stupid nazis) which also leads them to be even more prone to dismissing criticism from the left

The New York Times’ cynicism is intolerable. After Trump began demolishing part of the East Wing for his ballroom project, NYT noted that Trump said in July it “won’t interfere with the current building.” Instead of casting that as a lie, NYT softens it by saying his promise “seemed unrealistic.”

Mr. Trump originally said back in July that the construction of his ballroom, at a cost of more than $200 million, “won’t interfere with the current building,” but that always seemed unrealistic given how big the plans were. On Monday, he said it would be able to hold “999” people.
