I don't know if it's just slow word of mouth, but our Quartet sales have been much stronger the last few weeks. Thanks for all your support!

We are still hard at work on the newest 1.3 content update and console ports.

Quartet 1.3 update is gonna rule. So excited about it

I’m a little over unflailingly optimistic anime protagonists in jrpgs. Just isn’t working for me anymore

In b4 “oh so you want them all to be brooding and emo?!”

There are more than two characters in fiction, I’m happy to report

Introducing: Little Frog's BIG BOX Adventure!

This is a little puzzle game I've chipped away at in some spare time this year. I plan to expand this into a full game at some point, but for now you can play a little demo version on my itch!

Shit that makes my blood boil:

Being called lazy after spending 7 years and all my free time making a game

Calling yourself a "second class gamer" because we didn't support mac OS on Gog

The "how dare you" energy really irks me.

Honestly, some gamers need to touch grass.

Ok less grumpiness and more positivity

Man on the Inside is a fun show. Just started season 2. Enjoying watching it with the wife

Octopath Traveler's art style was really cool and well done... for the Octopath Traveler series. It's not good enough or interesting enough to make it the standard mid-budget art style for all JRPGs.

Happy Thanksgiving
It's been three months since release and we are super grateful to everyone who has played and enjoyed our game!

"And the peak of laziness: the game literally exists only in English. In 2025, when chatbots can do the job of an army of translators for free, the developers apparently thought: “not a problem, they can just learn English.” Honestly, this game is a disgrace."

And you wonder why I hate game dev

in b4 the big Quartet Expose'
As a Thanksgiving treat, I've got some fun indie game coverage coming this week and next: deep-dive interviews with the people behind two of 2025's best games (and two of my favorites of *all time*) plus a big feature about the making of a very cool upcoming Zelda-like starring a quirky mouse

Having a hit game is all about creating "aspiration traps" and allowing your future players to dream about what your game could be. See a game like "Threads of Time" as a good example.

The easiest way to achieving that is having lots, and lots of money for really hot art.

This Way Madness Lies is a great game and barely anybody bought it. It should be played by more people. If everybody here on @bsky.app banded together and bought a Steam copy and played it, well, that'd be a miracle and I would be forever grateful.

I never really knew how to pitch Quartet, tbh.

Probably a flaw in the game, or my brain

Kingdoms of the Dump is one of the year's most charming RPGs, an Earthbound-inspired game set in a world made of trash, where you fight in landfills and heal with moldy sandwiches. Which is fitting — it was made by two janitors.

The funny thing about this business is you can be just some guy with no game dev experience and no track record, but can be granted trust in your product because you had the money to hire great art.

Hey everyone, update on our Switch port.

We had been shooting for Q4 this year, but we've been dealing with optimization and Switch specific bug fixes. With the time it takes to pass lot check and get our page up, it's basically impossible to get it out this year.

It's no secret that FF6 is my favorite game. I play it every year. Quartet may join that rotation. Plus, we had to put down our dog the week I reviewed the game and this game kept me in a good place so bonus points.

Having a good day job gives you leverage. I use that leverage to ask if the wedding band who wants to hire me is playing “September” before I make my decision
