#41: Hades II
I liked the first one, enjoyed it, but I did not love it. I liked this one, enjoyed it, but did not love it. I cannot explain it. I am not done with it just yet, as the completionist in me needs to do more, but I am in no rush.

@borderlands.2k.com I went to purchase each of the new weapons from the Vault Card and received 4 copies of the Roil instead. Is this a bug?

Guide will be up later today/tomorrow, but, for now, Maurice's Black Market is in Tonnage Peel

It arrived!!

#40: MotionRec from Handsum
Another PAX East favorite that exceeded expectations. I do occasionally play non-roguelites. I like puzzles. I like puzzles with unique mechanics even more and this game has a really cool mechanics. If you enjoyed Bzzzt! or Ooo, check this out.

#39: Moonlighter 2 The Endless Vault
I can't believe it's been 7 years since the original game. This was very exciting to review and play. I cannot wait to see what they add to the game as it reaches the 1.0 release.

I had so much fun and cannot wait for the 1.0 release/inevitable console port. GO CHECK IT OUT
Remember Moonlighter? We do and we are very excited for the sequel. Check out Jason's impressions of early access which will be available in two days:

#38: Ball X Pit
This is not just one of my favorite games this year but one of my favorites period. 3 friends texted me after reading my review and told me not only that they purchased the game but that they hate me for not warning them how addictive it is.

#37: Devil Jam
When I finished the game, I actually said aloud, "wait, that's it?" My review explains the rest:

#36: Call of Duty Vanguard
I actually enjoy the campaigns and blasting zombies away by the hundreds never gets old. I had a few campaign trophies remaining and the zombie trophies so figured I would go for the Platinum. Was well worth the time.

#35: Arcade Archives Raiden
The Raiden Project was the first game I ever saw on a PlayStation. I still had my N64 but was sold. I've since played all the games in the series and I can never say no to a SHMUP.

#34: Whisper Mountain Outbreak
Another PAX East overhype. Isometric Resident Evil. This probably needed a bit more time cooking. To the devs credit, they have gone in and fixed a glaring issue (no save system), but this was ultimately a letdown for me.

#33: Moros Protocol
Boomer Shooter. Check
Roguelite. Check
It starts fine, but slowly descends into a tedious task. Not exactly what I want from a game.

Any sports fans out there with DIRECTV know how to get rid of this multi-view? I don't want to watch like this or listen to the PA announcer the whole time.

I appear on camera this time! Hope you enjoy the guide. If you prefer the written version with shorter videos, let me know.
A day-ish late because of technical difficulties (Jason makes an appearance). We tried something with the Borderlands 4 weekly reset. Let us know if you prefer the written article with the short videos and screenshots or the long video with timestamps (or both).

#32: Borderlands 4
Look, nothing will ever top Handsome Jack, but as a complete game, this one is the best (so far - if end game improves, we have a winner). Also, wrote a little something for those just getting started.

#31: Jotunnslayer Hordes of Hel
I liked #6 so much that I reviewed the 1.0 release on consoles. Seriously, this is a really fun roguelite, horde-survivor.

#30: Quartet from @somethingclassic.bsky.social
It's no secret that FF6 is my favorite game. I play it every year. Quartet may join that rotation. Plus, we had to put down our dog the week I reviewed the game and this game kept me in a good place so bonus points.

#29: Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 & 4
Just like 1 & 2, I still listen to the music almost daily. Plus, they are just enjoyable games. Bonus: my 6 year old loves to play and it's really cool watching her get slightly better each time she plays.

#28: Minishoot' Adventures
If Zelda was a twin-stick shooter was what I was told and that is exactly what I got/wanted. It also has a bit of Metroidvania lurking about which made this "mini" (not sorry) game so much fun. I finished it up in just under 10 hours and that was the perfect length.
November 14, 2025 at 11:06 PM
#27: Lies of P from NEOWIZ
I actually beat this early last year but through Game Pass. When the DLC was announced, and because I was not renewing Game Pass, I grabbed the game for cheap and beat it again. If I had to rank non-FromSoft souls games, this is far and away #1.
November 14, 2025 at 11:03 PM
#26: Ender Magnolia from Adglobe/Live Wire
As a huge fan of Ender Lilies, I could not get my hands on the sequel. It is an improvement in every way possible. A birthday gift of Atomfall did distract me followed by countless reviews but once I got back to it, I did not stop until I had that Platinum
