I have deboned a 16 pound turkey in preparation for tomorrow. I cannot reiterate this enough: Don't do it. It turns out great, but holy shit it's a lot of work.

Obviously I’m glad Villa have tied this back up, but man it’s really passive. We aren’t staying in front of them defensively, and so many poor passes straight at them. We need to clean this up.

Never in a million years did I think Liverpool would be this poor to start the season. It’s not just the absurd money they spent, I really rated every single one of their signings.

TIL if you overlay Curaçao onto Nashville it would be the city's least gerrymandered state house district.
Curaçao 🇨🇼 are the smallest nation to ever qualify for a World Cup, with a population of 155,826. For comparison, here are some larger U.S. cities:

• Murfreesboro, TN
• Killeen, TX
• Surprise, AZ
• Shreveport, LA
• Sioux Falls, SD
• Des Moines, IA

Simply incredible!

There’s always a lot of turnover in USL1, but this a solid group of returning players. Hopefully a couple released players can find their way back later in the off-season.
We've announced our initial roster moves as we look forward to the 2026 season! ⏭️

Thorough as always from @sixonefivesoccer.com. It’s going to be a fascinating offseason for Nashville now they’ve got more financial wiggle room, and a foundation to build from. I think we’ll see them attack more specific player traits/roles, and really tailor things toward BJC’s style of play.
Nashville SC turned over a ton of their roster, clearing up plenty of cap space to make some major additions this winter. It's going to be an incredibly busy offseason for the 'Yotes, and I broke down their biggest needs with CCC less than 80 days away.

What perfect album came out when you were 16?

Nashville owes a lot of success to Joe, and he was an excellent leader to have as the team flipped its roster and system. From the club side, I get it. 600k is a lot of money for a 37 year old keeper that doesn’t quite fit the new system, especially if they like Schwake.
Nashville SC have declined Joe Willis's contract option. The goalkeeper was a crucial part of their early success, making 205 appearances and playing in all but seven of their league games. He kept 61 clean sheets, with only Philadelphia and Seattle conceding fewer goals.

HEB kettle cooked jalapeño potato chips: D

I've enjoyed most of the HEB brand chips, but these suck. The dominant flavor is lime and onion powder. Looking at the ingredients: cheddar cheese, sour cream, and artificial coloring and flavoring... all for a jalapeño chip? They overthought it.

It feels like every youth team is having their heart ripped out this year. What an awful way to lose a match.
Morocco does it to the U.S. again: a 90th-minute equalizer for 1-1, then a penalty shootout win to knock the Americans out of the under-17 World Cup in the round of 32.

Two saves by the Moroccan goalkeeper in the shootout, on Cooper Sanchez and then Maximo Carrizo on the last attempt.

My own opinions about this move aside, I’m going to miss watching MLS in the summer. I loved being able to throw on a random match in the middle of June.
