Barrett’s making rounds exclusively with right-wing media. Straight reporters and legal analysts not welcome (to say nothing of liberal pundits).
Just for the record, although I am not really on board with asking justices for interviews to give them free book publicity, I did ask to speak to Barrett and got a swift rejection from the publisher.
Amy Coney Barrett did a big sit-down interview with Baseball Crank over at the National Review, and I can’t believe I’m saying this, but she actually has my sympathies for having to force a laugh after Crank opened their conversation with this

No one is above the law, except for every single Republican politician and activist convicted of a crime over the last decade because Trump has pardoned all of them or commuted their sentences.

Important: Sen Chris Murphy just sent pointed questions to Kristi Noem about DHS's account of shooting of US citizen by Trump's paramilitary forces in Chicago. The official line is imploding. Murphy wants Noem to explain why DHS misled. More like this, Ds.

Trump’s Secret Police Shot a Citizen. Then Damning New Info Emerged.
As the official Trump administration line about the shooting of a Chicago woman crumbles, Senator Chris Murphy is asking pointed questions about what really happened here. Will we ever get answers?

Just so I have this straight: Vance thinks racist men in their 20s and 30s are “just kids,” but 12-year-old girls are grown enough for forced pregnancy?

Of course not all police officers are racist or homophobic. For Cuomo to ignore the very real violence & abuse Black, Brown & trans NYers have experienced is to ignore their safety & fail to envision a safer future.

What I don't have in experience, I make up for in integrity.

And what Andrew Cuomo lacks in integrity, he could never make up for with experience.

So much going on in New York, so many challenges for New Yorkers, and yet early on in this mayoral debate they are asking questions about Israel and Trump and the ceasefire deal.

The mayor of New York has no control over foreign policy.

Ridiculous.

Jeanine Pirro’s office tried three times to indict a woman on bogus felony charges of assaulting an ICE agent. A DC grand jury turned her down each time. So Pirro brought a misdemeanor charge instead. And now a trial jury has acquitted her of that. www.huffpost.com/entry/sidney...
Jeanine Pirro Strikes Out Yet Again In Federal Court
Prosecutor Jeanine Pirro failed to secure a felony indictment against the woman three times, then lost a jury trial on a misdemeanor charge. Ouch.

"She should be doing the job I'm literally preventing her from doing."
Johnson: "Grijalva should be working for her constituents right now. I don't know what she's doing. I keep seeing their political stunt videos. She should be in her office. She should be working or in the district for her constituents" (Grijalva is not in fact a Rep. b/c Johnson refuses to seat her)

It occurs to me Trump is doing something extremely similar to what Sam Bankman-Fried went to prison for.

SBF took funds from customer deposits at his crypto exchange FTX and put them into his other company Alameda Research to keep it solvent.
Leavitt: "The president tapped into tariff revenue to keep WIC money going out the door. He found a creative solution to keep the troops paid. And rather than congratulate him for doing that, this unprecedented action to get our troops paid, Dems want to sue him for it. They're saying it's illegal."
