Did this deranged leftist carve a backward B on your face?
Nance Mace: "Like Elon said the other day, he can't go out in public b/c one mistake and you're dead. I had an incident just 3 weeks ago - it was the last time I was in public - I had a leftist person come up to me aggressively, physically threaten me in front of a group, including my security."

The quintessential Kavanaugh Stop
ICE detain U.S. citizen for looking Somali—use illegal chokehold to tackle him to ground.

Man repeatedly begs agents to look at his digital passport ID—they refuse.

Drove him 7 miles away before releasing him alone into Minnesota snow storm—told him to "walk home" in freezing weather advisory.

This exchange drives me nuts. Neither the interviewer nor Bazelon acknowledges that 1) abortion rights are really popular! and 2) what ICE is doing is hugely unpopular!

Hot Take: This is unironically true, but for President Biden and Jake Tapper
Trump says reporting on his health is "seditious, perhaps even treasonous, for The New York Times, and others, to consistently do FAKE reports in order to libel and demean 'THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES.' They are true Enemies of the People, and we should do something about it."

Watching Grand Hotel last night I had a holy shit moment at the end, when the manager says “People come, people go…nothing ever happens.” Which is meant to be ironic, but they had no idea how ironic.

It’s a hotel in Berlin.

In 1933.

“Nothing ever happens.”

Trump’s State Department ditching Calibri for TNR is a huge win for…wait, what?
The typeface (Times New Roman) was developed by a British typographer, Stanley Morison, for The Times. He was a jailed, in the UK, for being a conscientious objector to conscription during WWI. Ironic, isn't it?

In general, the aesthetics of Trump II remind me a lot of post-Soviet authoritarianism in Turkmenistan. You can just imagine Trump commissioning a statue exactly like this to stand outside the East Wing ballroom. www.rferl.org/a/meet_the_n...
Golden Turkmenbashi Finds New Home
It's been a tastelessly iconic symbol of Turkmenistan since it appeared in 1998: a 12-meter-tall, gold-plated statue of Saparmurat Niyazov, the country's longtime dictator, who also styled himself as ...

Very important to completely annihilate the climate along with energy affordability so we can power the Mistake Generator that will fire everyone.
"According to Foxglove, the new demand would be comparable to two to three times the capacity of the 1180MW Peterhead gas power station....and the total generation capacity of all of Scotland’s offshore wind turbines in 2024, which stood at 2971MW"

So farmers who used to be able to sell their products, but can't now because of tariffs, will be getting government checks, which are the bridge from the old days of getting government checks to the bright future of being able to sell their products
Rollins: "The bridge that is needed to get from the last administration & what basically happened under the last president to this new golden age for farmers where instead of farming for govt checks they can farm to feed their families and sell their products, this bridge is absolutely necessary"

The 14th is by far the most important amendment—more than any of the amendments that get a lot more attention—because if a “right” doesn’t apply to everyone it’s not really a right, it’s a privilege, conditional, and can be taken away
Make no mistake, if the 14th Amendment should fall - I am not saying it will, there are plenty of obstacles, I am speaking hypothetically - but if it should fall, no one is safe. It is challenging for most families to prove legal citizenship beyond a generation or two.
