NIH appears to have canceled/postponed all of its study sections—the independent review panels that approve federal grants for health research.

The entire premise makes no business sense. People who are sick don’t work, pay taxes, feed the employment rates, and will crash the hospital systems so no one can be treated. BTW premiums with deductibles are PAID by each medicare participant … it’s not free or a give away.
If MAGA Republicans get their way and cut $3 trillion from Medicare, Medicaid, and the Affordable Care Act, tens of millions of Americans will lose their health care and tens of millions more seniors, parents, and working families will see their costs skyrocket.
