I think that "feeling cozy" should be its own hobby. Like you curate an ever growing collection of robes and nightgowns, rotated by season. An assortment of warm beverages and herbal teas. No less than three pairs of slippers. Pillows across the spectrum of textures, with preferred pairings.
I actually met Batio when he did a seminar at the Guitar Center I was working at. He's genuinely a good hang!
Do not bring up the MI:2 song, the only good metal song/movie tie in of the 2000's was running Killswitch Engage over the credits of the third best Resident Evil movie, and even then they used a cowardly radio edit. I'm always saying this.
Sorry to break this to you but a Youtube Creator Gold plaque doesn't justify a 1000% markup on bass instruction over a digitized Stu Hamm VHS.
So many youtube musicians are charging hundreds of dollars or making you subscribe for $10-20 a month just for access to prerecorded lessons, when you can buy a digital copy of a DVD that a much more serious professional recorded 15 years ago that's better and like $12.50 total.

This is a sport for perverts
Anyways, my best baseball memory is not the time I spent playing it or comped seats in a luxury box, but when 12 year old me who had never heard of gritty Joker reinvented it from first principles.
One of the funniest things I've ever done was learn the parental controls when my parents upgraded then cutting edge digital cable. The next time my dad beat my ass I password protected every baseball game. What could he do about it, hit me again? I never undid it.
This isn't going to turn me into a fan of the low stakes game by game regular season MLB but I have learned to enjoy playoff baseball as a slow burn horror.
What's the highest profile fight that you think was actually fixed or worked? Don't answer with stuff that's widely understood in those terms, give me stuff like Tito Ortiz vs Alexander Shlemenko.
Word is a lot of bets came in late for a first round finish in this fight, which was the outcome…
I don't care what sport, this is correct. You need someone with absolutely no interest in Hold Me Back Bro Theater. I'm a lifelong Isaiah Stewart fan just because of that time he would not stop trying to fight LeBron.
There should be a guy one each team whose only job is to fight. Like when the queen chooses a knight to fight in her name.
How would a teacher have graded it if they said the word? I mean, objectively, the kid would have done a good job at the assignment.
playing a real dangerous game assigning Nixon, Wilson, Jackson, etc.
Just took a walk around the block and all four bars are absolutely humming with Dodgers hate, seems like people are having fun now.
I missed the first inning and a half, did anything happen to make everyone miserable or insane?
me when I move back to the midwest
"What are your personal and professional goals for the next five years?"
I love how the two things we learn about MacReady in his intro is he's drunk and willing to destroy computers that cost over $5000 in today's dollars if he loses a single game. Imagine he'd pour scotch into the vents of Steam Deck every time a Balatro run went south, like, ten times in a row.
It's just about sundown, time for my annual Halloween tradition; turning off all the lights, watching The Thing, and trying to experience MacReady's perspective by getting just as drunk as he is.
Question for everyone who worked remote and was told to return to office, how much time did they give you between the announcement and when you were supposed to report in?
Remember when the UFC booked Randy Couture vs Brandon Vera so Strikeforce scheduled Kim Couture vs Kerry Vera just to ride whatever wave of attention the first one was getting? Phenomenal Scott Coker thinking.
adding it to my letterboxd list of movies with descriptive titles, the Hobo With a Shotgun types
even with the caveat that retail politics is inherently performative to some degree, Zohran seems like he also genuinely enjoys each of these things. It's not standard campaign event to kiss hands and shake babies, he acts like every corner of the community is essential and deserving, as they are.
I visited Grand Street Senior Housing on the Lower East Side today and tried a little Bomba y Plena…
