Like many people, I often wonder why we're here, what is the meaning of life. Then I remember: it's to listen to Mozart. open.spotify.com/album/5Ylb5p...

It's odd that even with the craziest of waves I find watching the sea calming.

#Iceland, Feb 2020.
B&W dramatic photo of crazy waves with white spray illuminated by an unseen sun.

Utah’s badlands at dawn.
Early morning I got out of my tent grabbed my 70-200mm lens and started shooting the surreal landscapes. In between a made me a coffee and enjoyed this morning so much. I’ll never get tired of these desert.

~When the sun and wind meet~

Why this picture title? The picture showed me what is possible when wind and sun meet. This morning the wind whipped waves onto the water and the sun.

Roker Lighthouse 📷

It's been a windy day here, but the winds seem to have eased now. Tomorrow we'll be heading to the coast. Hopefully some big waves at high tide, this was last year's storm

The beauty of soft lines, of meandering lines...

#photography #landscapephotography #landscape #travel #nature #naturephotography #bluesky #sunrise #sunset
There is an infinite beauty to moving water, waiting to be discovered! The purple of a winter evening's twilight is softly reflected in the fast moving waters of the St. Lawrence River, Montreal, Canada. Ripples of sand on the top crest of a coastal dune in Namibia catch the last light of day, while wind blown sand further down glows golden as it is lifted into the light. A harmonious interplay of lines, shape, textures and tones, as the first light of day touches the ridge lines of a coastal dune. It was mesmerizing to see how the scene transformed as the light crept into the shadows. For a short lived moment, the soft light of the morning sun draws beautiful, dreamy bands of satin across the tips of these otherwise inconspicuous dunes in Namibia's mesmerizing Sossusvlei region.

#NowPlaying noisy stuff. Back when, for a time at least, record labels took a break from putting unflattering photos of awkward-looking musicians and composers on the covers of classical albums.

🔭 Sardinia Sunset

Image Credit & Copyright: Lorenzo Busilacchi

When the sun sets on September 7, the Full Moon will rise. And on that date denizens around much of our fair planet, including parts of Antarctica, Australia, Asia, Europe, and Africa can witness a total lunar eclipse, with the Moon completely immersed in Earth's shadow. As the bright Full Moon first enters Earth's shadow it will darken, finally taking on a reddish hue during the total eclipse phase. In fact, the color of the Moon during a total lunar eclipse is due to reddened light from sunrises and sunsets around planet Earth. The reddened sunlight is scattered by a dense atmosphere into the planet's otherwise dark central shadow. When the sun set on August 22, this telephoto snapshot of red skies, blue sea, and the Mangiabarche Lighthouse was captured from Sant'Antioco, Sardinia, Italy.

Deep in the arid lands of northern Namibia, a miraculous artery of water traces the western and central border to Angola, and graces one of our planet's most beautiful waterfalls in a desert environment.

There is little that can compare with a beautiful sunset by the sea.. The calm of the ocean sounds and watching the sun setting behind the horizon..
