More than that, Sex Matters - and the pseudoscientific legalistic sophistry they peddle along with every other GC transphobe - is wrong.

Sex 'matters' insofar as gender also matters. Both possess material reality. Both are materially mutable. They are inextricable and one does not trump the other.

11/ It is clear that the Regulations referenced the medico-legal fact of gender reassignment, and it does modify the interpretation of sex and gendered terms. No reference was made to the religious or legal fiction of a so-called biological sex.

The Supreme Court is wrong.

We won’t stand by and watch them prevent trans people from living their lives. And we’re not alone. Trans people are being challenged, misgendered and harassed whether they use a facility that aligns with their sex assigned at birth, or not. Many gender non conforming women also report more challenges in gendered spaces.

We have been tracking people’s experiences with gendered spaces and our new report looks at the impact of the 2025 EHRC interim update on access to, and experiences within, gendered spaces in the UK.

I just skimmed through the intervention by Sex Matters in GLP v EHRC.

They say that their witness statement alone is a sufficient warrant to disapply Article 8 rights for trans people, as if Maya Forstater has discovered a new spell “Revocatus Conventionium, I hereby revoke your rights.”
