Reminder: I have an ongoing dark fantasy series about a young woman who wants to become a monster killer! It has blood magic, a curse that turns people into monsters, and more!
I *also* have a novella about a guy who makes a pact with a chaotic god to escape from hired killers.

NOVELLA NOVEMBER IS COMING! — ANTHONY R. CARDNO
I love reading books of all lengths, but man do I really love novellas! Something about that 17,000-to-40,000-word length (roughly 70 to 160 pages) feels like the sweet spot – short enough to read in ...

hit me with your recommendations for excellent trans adult fiction by trans authors? Stag Dance and RCBG have been rattling around in my head since I read them and I and want to read more trans stories that aren't memoir or aimed at young readers!

I really like being a Dev Editor.
It’s so gratifying to be a part of a book’s journey and help authors see their story through fresh eyes.

Darrin Muir's debut thriller Afterimage is out now.
I worked with Darrin on this and enjoyed it. Stripes of Stephen King. I'm deeply interested to see what he writes next.

Breaking up the doomscrolling with a little GOOD news!
Australia's humpback whales are doing so well that their population is expected to reach carrying capacity and plateau in the near future--they have not just reached but exceeded pre-whaling numbers. For this to happen with such a long-lived, slow-reproducing species is near miraculous. #goodnews
These whales were hunted to 150 individuals. Now there are 50,000 of them
Once hunted almost to extinction, the population of humpback whales currently migrating down Australia's east coast has bounced back and is now greater than before whaling.
