Deep gratitude for the activists and political leaders advancing a Vision Zero agenda. Traffic violence is not inevitable. Stopping it is possible and necessary.

For over 20 years I’ve admired Avi Lewis’s fierce advocacy for the working class and serious action on climate change. I’m thrilled to see him seek the leadership of the federal NDP.
Canada's true crisis is the everyday emergency of just trying to get by in an impossible economy.

I’m running for NDP leader so we can transform a system rigged for the rich—together.

We need a government that serves the many, not the money.

As soon as Air Canada knew the strike was real, they made a deal.

In other words, if the government had told Air Canada that they wouldn't force the striking workers back to work, this whole thing would've been avoided.

The government constantly siding with corporations is why this chaos happened.

Exactly the result one would expect when you tear down modular homes and ban new supportive housing.

Thank you @ptfry.bsky.social for your long-standing work to make our streets safer!
Today, Vancouver finally set to approve bylaw for 30km/h speed limits on local residential streets.

Six years since this resolution passed at Council/UBCM; passed again unanimously in 2024; building on work of local/global #VisionZero, active transportation advocates...

Slow, safe, stoked. 😀

Vision Zero: this is what public safety looks like. I just signed up to speak to Vancouver City Council in favour of safe streets. The deadline to do that is tomorrow (Tuesday) at 5pm.

Tenants need to know that Vancouver has their back.

That's why @lucymaloney.bsky.social and @ptfry.bsky.social have brought a motion to bring back the Renter Office.

Thrilled to be able to vote for someone whose values reflect my own.
In Vancouver Centre, rent is out of control—and so are the corporate landlords.

I’m running to ban renovictions, bring in real rent control, and fight for homes people can actually afford.

Advance polls are open. It’s safe to vote your values here.

Another day, another empty parking lot that should have housing. We can do better.

We need Councillors that push to build new affordable homes in places with ZERO displacement.

The solutions to the housing crisis are all around us. And sometimes they look like a parking lot!

Safer and less congested streets are possible - but only if we have leadership that will put in the work.

@lucymaloney.bsky.social will force votes on safer streets.

Ken Sim will show us where he stands. And it won't be with you.

Housing is increasingly precarious in Vancouver and more and more people are being plunged into homelessness. We need strong tenant protections city-wide to protect those of us who rent from bad actor developers.
Renters belong in Vancouver.

Tenant protections should be strengthened - and expanded across the City.

And tenant protections should be enforced, visibly and vigorously.

I call on Council to reject Ken Sim's motion banning net-new supportive housing, ANYWHERE in our city.
