Here's a nice clip only a few days old about the Horseshoe Curve, which I have visited several times. It's cool. Coincidentally, I am wearing my Altoona Curve (baseball team) t-shirt today.

I like your website, by the way. Been using it as a reference for some time.
No specific order. More or less arbitrary. Especially since I accumulated books as I found them. I've also gone on some side quests like re-reading Farmer's "Apocalyptic Life" and reading "Escape from Loki." I have the Lester Dent biography waiting, too.
I was! Now I'm working on reading them. I'm maybe halfway through the set.
They're just stalling till someone pitches a new MacGuffin that clears the Board of Oligarchists.
It's fun one to believe that some shadowy figure has the wherewithal to maneuver that ... but jeez, go ahead and put more of him in there. It's bound to be mere surplusage or some other legalese term. In short, meh.

I'm getting used to it now

Such things are ephemeral. Atari 2600 was obsolete almost as soon as it was widely affordable. I don't know when nostalgia for it kicked in, but I was immune. On the other hand, I spent a lot of spare change in the last few years on my collection of Doc Savage paperbacks, a 5th-6th grade obsession.
* My first year of law school was longer ago than I care to specify. I was not born off of the turnip truck yesterday.
So now we pretty much know that "the law" is whatever one wants it to be, as long as one has the physical might to back it up. Right? I began suspecting as much during my first year of law school, but it no longer feels like callow cynicism.
Also I could fine-tune the UHF dial in a way that I could descramble the softcore flicks on rudimentary pay TV. I watched a lot of bowdlerized versions of classic pee oh are en that way.
I had a b&w portable TV in my childhood bedroom in the 70s and 80s, so I know what that's like. Also playing Atari on such a thing.
When an ad tells me I have a "complimentary gift waiting," the redundancy irritates me. If they have such a thick dossier of info about me, they should know that ahead of time.
They're gonna be replaced by flying AI drones anyway.
Eventually "The A's" will be whittled down to just "The."
Nothing will happen with respect to the files. But our leaders will have to find a new MacGuffin to pretend to fight over.
Don't waste your talk breathing on them, either.
If the Brewers face the Mariners in the World Series, I'd like to see Milwaukee wear throwback Seattle Pilots uniforms for at least one game. Seattle vs Seattle.
I think of bacon as polyamorous, flavorwise, so the concept of maple-bacon Pop-Tarts seem good to me, although that foto looks bad. I would love savory Pop-Tarts, and unless they blew it completely, I'd buy a lot of them.
The brutality is real and an outrage, a tragedy. But the interactions between pols & parties are "works," a la pro wrestling. Pritzker decries federalization of the Nat. Guard but looks the other way as state cops help the fascists. Then Trump threatens to arrest JB, which wins him sympathy points.
Who do they report to @jbpritzker.bsky.social.
Troopers just violently attacked protesters, tackled several, several arrests, shoving activists and press with batons.
