The Spider from Forbidden Forest on C64 scared the crap out of 5 year old me.
The music was ominous, and then to see blood on the screen as a Spider ate my head gave me nightmares.

Going through the @retronauts.bsky.social backlog of episodes can be dangerous, especially when you listen to stuff like @feitclub.bsky.social and @stuartgipp.bsky.social talk about Mortal Kombat on episode 447.
Dangerous cause it motivated me to play through the arcade version as Liu Kang again.

Without fail, this song still gives me goosebumps every time I hear it.
I'm not even really a Mortal Kombat super fan, but the build up of emotion going into the scream just gets your adrenaline pumping.
