Citizen of a post-developed country. He/Him, the impact point of the immovable object of logic and the unstoppable force of empathy. Will one-liner you, will play jank. Photos at https://shorturl.at/3P0Ov My posts are surely not what my employers believe

I still chuckle at Cephalid Breakfast.
The main thing with people in power now is that they actually *are* very scared and their only response to having such insecurity is to try and scare you in turn.

With every unhinged rant and overblown retaliation, they reveal themselves in the garb of their emperor's new clothes, naked and afraid.
I hope each and every one of the fascists who rule this country read this and choke.

Don't tie strings to your shoulders, if you simply dance for yourself, they can only look and seethe as you ignore them.
Remember:

- they DO NOT CARE about your arguments/rebuttals

- they DO NOT CARE about your dunks

- the person running the accounts was specifically hired to drive engagement BY ANY MEANS NECESSARY; it’s the algorithm they’re catering to

This is a game, and to them you are data to be manipulated.

Since we can’t rely on the HHS, CDC, or FDA to say it, I will:

MAKE SURE YOU ARE VACCINATED AGAINST MEASLES. GET YOUR MMR.

Measles cases have reached their HIGHEST point since the disease WAS ELIMINATED from the United States in 2000. We are at the tipping point for the return of ENDEMIC measles.
I have (wisely) remembered to take the weekend off to recover from the risk of such nonsense. Yay me!
I have brought home a few nice things from Bar Harbor, plus a cold from that cruise ship mob that was just absolutely using one another as a pack of tissues.

To all my fellow people pleasers out there... 😌

I played Magic for 25 years, and this last year, with the Standard elongation, the squeezing of blood from multiple licensing stones and now Hasbro’s deflection of blame for their corporate-driven mediocrity, has made me turn my back on it.

We had a good run.
i don't feel like magic set surveys usually have this question and i don't appreciate the implication that content creators, who do so so much for the game, are possibly to blame for a bad set's poor performance. 👎
Currently watching a Maine lobsterman and an Alaskan crabber trying to outdo each other.
Last full day in the Harbor. Low foliage from drought, no whale watches from noreaster. I’ve done all I can here in 3 trips that nature allows. Its sad to say, I’d probably only come back if I had someone along for the trip. I’d be thrilled to show someone around, but solo adventure is only so fun.
As always go at your pace, I am frankly also in yapping withdrawal. I shall remain filled with potential energy until such time as my peeps have caught up. Such is the price of knowledge (and the boon of juuust about no fam but DD)

The use of AI to marionette a woman whose tortured existence was spent trying to carve her own life and identity out of the space men forced her into is both damningly macabre and a surprisingly perfect encapsulation of the problems with this ghoulish use of technology.
::vibrating in ep 2 anticipation::
The concept of the Three Deaths has appeal to me: the actual death, the last time your name is said and the last time you are thought about. Are we truly able to find peace until the third one? And do some people truly want that peace? Perhaps for some, the erosion of the stone’s name is a blessing.
Invariably when I travel, there’s a time where I consider how mom and the grandparents had all these adventures together, and how I can’t help but wonder how they would have enjoyed seeing what I have tried to see.

It’s likely the noreaster grey, rain and early nightfall, but it weighs on me.

GenAI truly was the worst technology to come along at this moment.

An energy and water guzzler when we most urgently need to take climate action.

A disinformation machine as our journalism fails.

A bias machine as fascism takes root.

A job killer in a cost of living crisis.
The "cognitive decline and brain damage from repeat COVID infections" and "easy to use robot that makes slop and melts your critical thinking skills" is a hell of a combo in a post-fact media ecosystem

the noreaster has struck true in the Hahbah, making photography regrettable til at least Wednesday. I’ve lined up a seal watch, trying to get to Jordan Pond House and hitting the Cadillac Summit then.

What to do til then? (Besides resting up because HOOBOY I walked like 20 miles the last two days)
