The Carnegie guy wrote an article called the Gospel of Wealth where he implored the richest people to redistribute their wealth among society to effectively address wealth inequality, and rich people just actively ignore the suggestion. For over a century now 😭
I don't even understand why anyone would want to be a billionaire. all that wealth is meaningless unless you're actively putting it back into the world for good. which is also ironic bc to become a billionaire you have to fuck over & exploit millions of people so.
