See for me it’s more the repetitive nature of the talking stage like having to find ways to discuss the same shit I’ve discussed with the last 5 niggas. A lot of discussing thoughts or memories and having to pinpoint where in the body this thought or memory causes sensations in your body. And then describing those sensations and sometimes attaching emotions to those sensations.

For the self-identified “self-aware,” I highly recommend somatic therapy over cognitive or dialectical behavioral therapies.

You may not need to talk it out any further— you may need to get back into your body.

And if you’re heavily traumatized, EMDR therapy.
