Fun fact: the Vai script of the Vai people in Liberia, West Africa created by Momolu Bukele is thought to have been influenced based on the Cherokee syllabic writing system. Interracial Black + Cherokee families moved from the US to Liberia and brought the Cherokee writing system with them.
