After MTG lied about me for weeks, she said that she felt bad for my unborn child because he'd have me as a mother. Her rhetoric led to threats against my family.

No one, even her, should receive threats like those, but I'd like to see her own up to the role she played in creating them for others.
Marjorie Taylor Greene: "I sent those deaths threats directly to him in a text message & informed him of what his name calling & words were doing - it was a direct assassination threat on my son. And he was extremely - I won't repeat what he said - but it was extremely unkind. No sympathy. No care"

If you are near Philadelphia, have 123 dollars, and roughly 28 cubic feet of space to store 1,600 VHS tapes in reasonably climate controlled conditions until I can get up there, I will retrieve this collection of almost guaranteed vital archival value and digitize its entirety.

omg. Kat Abughazaleh just posted that if she's elected, she'll swear in on a copy of Octavia Butler's Parable of the Sower.

If you were elected to public office (never mind whether you'd ever actually run), what book would you swear in on?

The book that means the most to me from a moral/ethical standpoint is probably Carpe Jugulum by Terry Pratchett, but that doesn't quite feel appropriate.

And if i'm not going to be appropriate anyway, i may as well just go with a @ryannorth.ca classic...

Monsters Inc was rendered on a cluster with 3,500 UltraSPARC II cores at ~400MHz, a total power in the low single-digit TFLOPS range. A single Apple M3 Ultra with 28 cores can sustain about 1 TFLOPS CPU and 20 TFLOPS GPU. A cluster of a few dozen modern machines can render Monsters Inc in real-time.
The Monsters Inc broadcast completely choked on that interception/fumble situation

We got comic books, art books, and even some books WITHOUT pictures (very rare)! These would make great gifts for many different ages, we’d say the range goes from like 1 year old to about 2 million years old? Probably?
