Fun fact. A friend of mine worked as an assistant stage manager on a touring production of War Horse. At every new venue the puppeteers had to block out movements to fit the size of the stage.

I know it’s silly that a trip to the donut shop in our old neighborhood made me cry. But I don’t know how to explain how I felt when shop keep’s eyes started to sparkle when she saw us, or the way she said “see you tomorrow” to only us, or finding the extra donut hole she’d always put in our bag.

Just had a successful first attempt at spinning on a drop spindle. Any yarn to show for it? No. Absolutely not. The attempt is successful because it was made. Failure and false starts are a part of the process. I’m now leagues further than before I tried.
