The pledge manager for @yaniir.bsky.social's Monolith Collection hit my inbox and I went from 2 jewelry styles and 4 additional pendants to 4 jewelry styles and 8 additional pendants 😅 Did I correctly pledge what I wanted for myself? Yes. But then I realized modular jewelry makes a fabulous gift.

The shipping estimate wasn't until mid-February bc one of the games was out of stock, but my new puzzle games have arrived and they have MUCH bigger boxes that Ministry of Lost Things!

I had not previously seen terminator 2 but I have now seen terminator 2 and, spoilers for terminator 2, I cannot believe the t1000 shapeshifted into a tiled floor. truly incredible and possibly the only thing in the movie I wasn't already aware of from terminator 2 permeating sci fi pop culture

I picked up Ministry of Lost Things: Lint Condition by @postcurious.bsky.social at PAX Unplugged this year for my roommate and I to play. We just finished last night and immediately ordered four more of their puzzles. What cool games!

My wife had a single line in Kung Fu Panda 17 years ago and still gets checks every few months. Most are way smaller than this, but devs get $0 even though the games we work on will likely be sold for 10+ years soooo yeah.

Do you know the game “Harvest”? It’s a smallbox Japanese game released in 1992 that is still super popular to this day. If you ever travel to Japan and want to buy a local game, this is my top recommendation.

Remember how I said I have it written into my foreign-language contracts that my work has to be translated by an actual human? This shit is why.
Those book translations are gonna suck. They'll save money putting out books that are going to be painful to read. That's not a great long-term strategy.

All their freelance translators (some of whom had been working with Harlequin for +30y!!!) were told they would no longer receive work from Harlequin

Hi it's morning and this got little viewing tractuon yesterday afternoon.
Got sick biking to the train station twice this winter and my finances won't improve till (hopefully) Feb next year. Right now I'm reliant on Lyft to get to the trains to work which is like $10 each time. So if anyone wants to help me survive winter here's my ko-fi. 😭

PRINTER SHAMING hp neverstop 1001nw literally the only device in my house that couldn't reconnect itself when i got a new modem but kept network name and password the same. everything else reconnected fine, only confused little baby hp neverstop needed me to go through setup again
