We need to build homes, everywhere, for all kinds of people. That's how you solve a housing crisis.
Most of Vancouver is de facto a gated community for rich people. It’s been said many times, but can’t be said often enough.

Luckily, this is going to change!
Your regular reminder that it takes a ginormous amount of privilege to claim that our low-density neighbourhoods are "working".

Liang was telling me about premium head-of-lift-line ski passes and I kinda think anyone who buys it should be loudly booed for exercising their privileges

My NEXUS card is fine, though 🙃

tried to replace an old duplex outlet on my balcony with a gfci. discovered the metal junction box was very narrow. tried taping around the contacts to keep them from shorting against the box. a loud popping noise, flash of yellow light, and smell of ozone have shown me the error of my ways

the music video for destroyer's "bologna" (about faking your death and running away) works as a sequel to sufjan steven's "up on a housetop" (moving to the kitchen and you get your passport / up on the housetop, spirit of the dead / down through the chimney is what the man said / who wouldn't go?)

It appears that pretty much all Hong Kong-based newsfluencers, even those with international bylines or appearances, got a memo within the last 12 hours that they should shut up about the deadly fire, or else face consequences.

I've been playing with Duolingo Music and it's odd to me that there's no way to practice part of a song on your own; you always have to start at the beginning of a song and progress linearly. Makes it very hard to nail trickier passages

She wasn't even flying internationally. She was flying to Texas.
