I saw the new George Orwell documentary last night. It’s called 2+2=5. I have been a little bit squeamish about applying the word totalitarian to Trump and the Republicans. Not anymore. We are experiencing a totalitarian movement. There’s no question.

Looking back, I don’t think the freshly minted PhD version of me could land a job in today’s market. I was smart, I was driven — but mostly, I was lucky.

i feel like somehow, someway this was part of the “peace” deal, especially given that kushner was involved in talks. i won’t credit trump for anything bc it’s likely a calculated move to consolidate more power for himself and his namesakes.
