My heat pump equipment is 2 years old now. I'm in Ottawa, Canada, and have had no issues for either heating or cooling. My utility bills are lower now than when I was using natural gas equipment (by about $1K/year). The federal gov't provided a rebate and loan, making it even more attractive.

To celebrate here’s an old Holiday Greeting card from the early 1940s that my grandfather Russ sent back to the US when he was helping out with Antifa 👍

I'll let my daughter know. Thanks!
Oh. That is pushing logic a bit much.
We assumed the batteries are not removeable, but having one where you can remove it would be a good solution. Besides, that would mean you could take your bike to work and charge the battery while you're working.
Thanks for the link, Sarah. It's important to know the source of such statements.
There's a big difference between best before and expiration date. Is that not what this is all about?
These announcements don't get nearly enough exposure. Thanks for posting it.
Would you want to mess with that?
Hey, a quaker parrot. My son has one of those.
We were talking e-bikes at my place this week. The issue we have is storage. In the cold weather you shouldn't keep them outside right? Which means storage is a huge issue if you don't have a heated garage. Where are people keeping them?
I see you weren't in the balcony either. It was my first time seeing them. For some reason it reminded me of the old Carol Burnett Show. Which is to say, I loved it!
And as citizens of the planet earth, we shouldn't be hoping those countries don't switch to renewables.
I believe their plan is to use it to create "clean" fuel, which in theory results in fewer global emissions if a country chooses Canada's fuel over a dirtier fuel. But with renewables continuing to get cheaper, I don't think we can count on the ongoing purchase of our fuel.
No, not just you. We all remember the muzzling of scientists because Harper was so worried they would disagree with his treatment of climate change, of course, the barbaric cultural practices snitch line because he wanted us to be afraid of "the other".
Yes, that seems to be what he's doing, but it only removes emissions from the source. It doesn't make the LNG clean.

Ugh is right.
He's right that had he not cancelled the carbon tax the CPC would have used it to continue to divide us and they would have won the election, but everything he's doing so far, it's what Poilievre would have done, at least in terms of climate change.

How many ways can we say: WE DON'T HAVE TIME!!!!
2. Carbon capture and storage can't be the big solution to reducing our carbon footprint. I don't know if things have changed, but last time I checked it wasn't scalable.
3. Our NG might be the cleanest at the source, but when it's burned, it will be adding CO2 to the atmosphere.
This article gives me a better idea where Carney stands on the climate. I disagree with him on a few points:
1. Just because net zero happens in 2050 doesn't mean it will be profitable until then, as countries will be switching to cheaper renewables
