Color photo, at an awkward angle, of a 1920s Chicago brick bungalow in yellow (maybe call it buff) brick with mostly red tile roof and polygonal bay. Roof extends over side entrance and driveway to brick pillars on other side, making a porte-cochère for car.

Believe it or not, Bernini prepared plans for this exterior revetment in Siena in connection with renovations done under Alexander VII.

His design remained unexecuted. You can read about it in Chapter 9 of our book!
