Maybe one could say that we only became truly postmodern in the last decade or so – not only in terms of theory and cultural production, but as an everyday experience? Lyotard's «Postmodern Condition» was about the future of knowledge in age of digital databases – that's where we're living in now

Well if it's Al, it's at least true. They ARE arresting journalists. Compare that to Trump's lying record. This doesn't hold a candle to that.

However, the obvious glitches reveal how genAI works. Rather than simulating a world, it visualizes concepts based on patterns found in existing content: a reporter is a person with a mic & a detainee is a person with their hands cuffed behind their back. Combine the two, and you get three arms

Over the past decades, the rise of smartphones & social media has conditioned us to expect images of any event to be available in real time. If something was happening, you could be sure to see it online. Now, AI slop exploits this expectation by feeding us images that feel more real than reality

Die vom Bundesrat geplante Verdopplung der Studiengebühren würde die Chancengleichheit im Bildungssystem weiter verschlechtern. Der Studentin Sadaf Sedighzadeh bleibt neben Vorlesungen und Arbeit bereits jetzt kaum Zeit für andere Interessen.

Erhöhung der Studiengebühren: «Tetris spielen mit den Rechnungen»

Geht es nach dem Bundesrat, wird Studieren in Zukunft noch teurer. Von der Schwierigkeit, die Ausbildung zu grossen Teilen selbst zu finanzieren, erzählt eine junge Studentin.
