I feel sick.
UPDATE: Trump has begun demolishing parts of the White House to build his $250 Million ballroom, despite claiming they wouldn’t do that.

The only current candidate who showed up in Mason City for #NoKings was this guy. As always, no notes. @sageforiowa.bsky.social
We don't hate America. We are pissed off Americans who hate what's going on in our country, and we need to come together to tell our leaders in Washington were not going to do this anymore.

We are not about dictators.
We are not about kings.
We are not about authoritarians.
I follow a lot of the people aspiring to public office in Iowa, on multiple platforms. Showing up for the #NoKings rallies is table stakes for communicating that you have our backs. If you weren’t with us today, what were you doing that was more important?

We went to No Kings looking for paid protestors. What we found will shock you.
Thank you for all your work and leadership. Ready.

I am very happy to be taking part in a #NoKings rally tomorrow, and I know millions of you will be doing the same. Please share photos of your signs in the comments to inspire others!

ABC News graphic needs to be updated with it being $40 billion and Trump admitting the bailout won’t benefit the U.S. but it will benefit Trump’s well-connected hedge fund manager friend.
I don’t see a link to the argument livestream

Our prime farmland is not for sale to the highest corporate bidder. I will stand with Iowa landowners to fight eminent domain abuse and stop CO₂ pipelines that threaten our land and safety.

Home of the Brave launched a $1 million national ad campaign in support of the peaceful No Kings rallies on Oct. 18th.

The ads will run in over 185 local papers and The New York Times, USA Today and The Washington Post calling on Americans to “peacefully protest our false king."

Special education isn't a "nice thing to have." It isn't "charity" or doing something to make us feel better. It is a right. The right to a Free Appropriate Public Education is codified in the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act, signed by a Republican president.
U.S. Department of Education fired nearly everyone in the Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services in a wave of new layoffs that began Friday, according to the union representing the agency's employees. www.usatoday.com/story/news/e...

No tap dancing here. No references to bipartisanship. No fear. 🔥
We have armed secret police kidnapping people off the street based on the color of their skin.

When we win: we will haul them before a Senate committee. The masks will come off. There will be consequences.

Trump continues to get played by China while farmers are being used as pawns.

Good @davidsirota.com piece. Dem challenges:

1) Dems have super PACs and dark money; won't disarm so it's easy for low-info voters to say "they're the same."

2) Those voters don't know how CF works. See: RFK Jr insisting that Sanders donors who worked for pharma = he is owned by pharma companies.
"For Democrats, this particular moment of cartoonish graft presents a huge opportunity to unify around an anti-corruption platform.…Their agenda must meet the moment and include game-changing initiatives that let voters know they recognize corruption is pervasive."

It’s a powerful, unifying theme—and it’s tied to the crisis of democracy under Trump.

I work with Blue Missouri because our organization writes actual checks to down-ballot Democratic candidates.

No one else does what we do.

Other organizations give training or advice or texting services. While those things are important, candidates need $ to reach voters. bluemissouri.org

Actual cash is so important. We have events in Iowa for this, but no orgs like yours. @iowawingding.bsky.social raises money for seven county parties to spend on local campaigns, and this new event gave $$ to four challengers in tough districts bsky.app/profile/susa...
Democrats in Iowa are fired up this year. This is a new event, in the same part of the state as the Wing Ding counties. It attracted ~300 people to a farm at the end of a dirt road on a Saturday afternoon, and raised more than $5000 for state legislative candidates. Well done.

The elimination of USAID is a moral atrocity and all involved made a choice to enable, and then lie about, ending the lives of some of the most vulnerable people in the world.
How about No? Why are you trying to save Trump from his own folly long enough to get him through the next election?
