#Opossum in the “paradise garden”mural cycle of Malinalco, Mexico, c. 1535/1585. The cycle is a rare survivng example of early colonial art with Indigenous artists in Spanish churches mixing native & European styles and filling Christian scenes with native fauna & flora.
