I see that Sky and BBC are doing their usual job. Heralding the budget as a “tax rising” budget and burying the story on net migration falling by 80% since 2023. And what happened to the constant obsession with small boat crossings?

Still can’t believe how crass and pathetic this was from Badenoch. Genuinely embarassing stuff.
Utterly juvenile and unparliamentary antics from Kemi Badenoch during her response to the budget.

Desperate, undignified and ineffective.

Proof positive that Labour is working. Ed Davey now lowering himself to right wing rag status. They’re all panicking. Can you ‘bury’ something in a public document? 🤔
I wish I was surprised. Buried in this Budget is a plan to slash the Digital Services Tax, giving a multi-billion tax cut to US tech giants and the likes of Elon Musk.

That's right, cutting taxes for the world's richest man while hiking them for millions of hard-working Brits.

For the flag bothering brigade, the far right, right, probably Blue Labour, one must be proud of the nation's history, warts and all.

So one should not bother with the negative.

Slavery? We abolished it and it cost much money.

Colonies? We "civilised" them and then we gave them up!

🤷‍♂️
1/5 It was entirely predictable that The Telegraph would jump on @DavidOlusoga’s Empire series to fight its right wing culture war for control of our public history. Let’s see what they’ve done:

The BBC and the budget.

Given the BBC's obession with impariality, they have to find someone who is against the budget measures to treat all sides equally.

99.999999% of the country could be better off and like the budget. But because of impartiality, the BBC has to air someone who disagrees.

🚨 UK net migration to UK drops sharply to 204,000 in year to June - down 80% from its peak in 2023 under Tory Govt

Farage/Reform, Lowe, Badenoch etc claim 1,000’s of “migrant men of fighting age” are landing each week & we’re running out of room

So what will they say now..

They’ll lie as usual❗️🤥

They deleted the line in which I describe Donald Trump as “the most openly corrupt president in American history.” /1
