When a kid dies of a preventable disease like measles, his/her parents should be held criminally liable for felony child abuse/ manslaughter. It's no different than beating your kid (which these people probably do as well.) Sending some morons to jail for a long term might be a lesson to others.

Women always had the "right" to report sexual harassment in the workplace. What changed was that the change in law put a burden on the employer to fix the problem or risk being also found liable. Couldn't keep saying, "Now, honey, when Joe grabs your ass, it's really a compliment. Don't get upset!"

I assume that this does not surprise you. Or, really, anyone....

Yep, good friend of mine contracted measles when she was pregnant (pre-vaccines) and her daughter was born with a cleft palate...

Maybe "worst of the worst' refers to guys who do construction work who aren't as competent as other guys who do construction work? That could be it, right? Or painters who leave streaks when they finish a paint job? That's probably it.... Since Dear Leader would never lie to us. /s

Pretty sure that "stand your ground" will be interpreted differently for a brown (gay!) person than for a white guy. The mild concern you need to have as a white guy to shoot someone will be elevated to, "being chased by a guy with a hatchet and gun is insufficient to show a reasonable fear."

If they don't have guns, how will the cake decorators chase the gays out of their bakeries???

After 9/11? Check their coverage during the whole Clinton impeachment in the '90's - they were all in on Team Republican.

And by "reject grifters," at this point, that encompasses virtually everyone in a position of power in the US government...

I noticed that - there was coverage sure, but not a whole lot. (I don't look at TV news, so I'm referring to the coverage in the print media that I consume...)

Old enough to remember being taught in law school that it is not ok to shoot someone simply b/c they had entered your home. Rather, you had to have a reasonable fear of death/great bodily harm before you could use deadly force against an intruder. Now, someone looking at you cross-eyed is enough.

Glad to know that beating women doesn't land on Johnson's list of matters that are "really serious."

So that's why he won't put up the plaque honoring the Capitol police who died b/c of January 6? B/c he stands with them? /s
What a lying POS.

Atheist here. Knowing Chump and his supporters makes me really, really wish that there was a hell.... I feel like an eternity of burning would almost be too good for him. But I'd still settle for it...

I feel like it's kind of a rip off if it doesn't include the Molotov cocktail - I mean, really????

Reliable friend on FB states that Houston police confirmed that the guys shot were not ICE or LE. Home owner apparently ok. As my friend emphasized, how would this be different if they had been LE? I'm frankly surprised an ICE guy hasn't been shot already by a "stand your ground" type person.

The future of the GOP? This is the present and the future of the GOP. White supremacists/Christian nationalists - fascists. That's who they are right this very second.
