Years (decades?) ago, the then-spouse and I got bounced into 1st class after they couldn't find any other seat that would accommodate my gnarly knee. I still remember saying, "Why yes, I'd love it!" when they offered us free champagne. Nice. (Yeah, decades, b/c it was pre-kids and my son is 30...)

I've never read any of those. But I did read most of "Fifty Shades of Gray" -& wow was that badly written (a friend told me to read it). And I tried the first book in the Harry Potter series and it looked to me like the anti-trans lady is a bad writer who got lucky...

When he was a kid forced to go to a military academy where his parents hoped (fruitlessly)that he would be "straightened out," did he run around with magic markers just writing his name on every surface that he could find? Is this something he does to assure himself that he does, in fact, exist?

"Conflicted" is not an emotion that Chump is familiar with. Basically, it's "will this be good for me?"-and if his answer is "yes," then that's the end of it. (He's stupid, so he's frequently wrong on whthr something will benefit him, but he certainly doesn't suffer any emotional qualms/doubts.. )

Well, the most consistent marker of whthr or not someone is a Chump fan is their level of racism - the more racist, the more likely they are to support him. This has been true since Day 1. Also, when David Duke and the KKK wholeheartedly support someone, I think you should take them at their word.

And he would be incredibly abusive if he could - his sadism would be fighting with his greed (a dead slave isn't worth anything) in terms of how he treated them. Being totally under his control would be the worst nightmare...

From some comments he's made, I think it's pretty clear that he is into winnowing the herd, as it were. You know, letting the "weak ones" die. B/c he doesn't think that they deserve to live.

From what I've read, trying to do long/cross-country trips with an EV would (still) be a planning nightmare. If we got one, it would be for the "around town" driving with our hybrid for anything really far.

Well, this gov't doesn't respect the law - "any" law. People's right to property, to not be snatched randomly off the street, to bodily autonomy, to, well, anything. Except maybe the right to own a gun and shoot people "if" you are a right wing nutjob.
