The retirement facility is always trying to get folks engaged. I feel like this could be a really natural starting point to something bigger.
Parents picking up diapers from the box can say hi to the elders hanging in the lobby; retirees get to see kids, babies, members of the community. 2/3

since i'm stuck in this hellscape for the foreseeable future, I've shifted to building a baby supplies box & coordinating with the retirement home across the street to set it up on their property. people will be able to donate/take baby goods: gently used clothing, diapers, wipes, formula, w/e. 1/3

I went to schedule my normal vaccine boosters and d'oh! turns out there are NO RECORDS for my vaccinations available in ANY system.
so now, I have to pay out of my own pocket for an entire formal check up AND a titer panel JUST to get vaccinated.

yep, exactly. this is a slow moving monstrosity. it all started b/c 7 yrs ago the women opposed promoting the head of the city's chamber of commerce to also be city manager but guess who did it anyway?

and one of them died from cancer like two weeks ago at only 60. she used to call me her best friend.
yet another true activist and leader wrung dry by the community, then left to flounder entirely alone.
she finally sold the farm and moved to a small spot in the middle of nowhere in another state.

I will say a huge shift in council is what caused all of this, so it's not like it was some sleeping giant that caught me unaware.

sooo i can’t make any jewellery for the forseeable whilst i heal this fracture/see the clinic in 2-4 weeks.

6mos ago I told people it was EXTREMELY dangerous to request RSVPs or have sign ups for protests & digital resistance events.
