What we really should be asking is why the Switch 2’s card reader is substantially slower than internal memory/microSD Express.
This is the reason for at least one game going the Key Card route.

I love No More Heroes on Wii and it runs poorly.
There’s a weird narrative in modern gaming that games must he visually stunning and performant to be good, but most people’s top 10 games include at least one game that didn’t run well.
