It's merely symptomatic of our postmodern ennui. There are no absolutes, and thus you perceive our world as meaningless, when it's really your own freedom you detest.

The comments you will laugh at:
She was telling us she did a decade of hard time because she thought it would intimidate us and I just rolled my eyes, but now I realize that she's 15 years younger than she looks AND both the people who were on trial with her died years ago from their addictions so now I just feel bad
Some elderly lady on one of the local FB groups threatened people and said "I know the truth and you don't," and I said "back off Tits McGee, your profile is full of AI videos you don't realize are fake and complaints about all the money you lost in online betting"

And now I can't post lol
I don't even get Leavitt's "the taxpayer isn't paying" as a defense because isn't it WORSE that the president is using corporate sponsors to tear down a publicly-owned government building?
I'm about to just massively lose my shit about this, the guy had a Nazi SS tattoo for 18 years and SO MANY people are saying "oh golly it was just a wee little mistake"

Did no one ever actually care about this stuff before and they just pretended to? I'm so freakin confused
Bro teaches Social Studies

And also he still hasn't deleted that post he's apologizing for

Call me skeptical

i have a real "frothing anger barely being held under the surface" energy when it comes to my question of "what was the tattoo of, say out loud what it was" on this subject
This feels like a big mistake.
I mean I'd like to think he decided "hmm okay that's a good point" but I'm reasonably sure he still believes "it's just a symbol, who cares" and only deleted so he wouldn't get yelled at anymore
This Kenneth guy had a post up for hours saying there was "important context missing" about Platner's Nazi tattoo in that it was "just a symbol" and a bunch of people called him out about it, but within minutes of me replying to him he deleted EVERYTHING he'd posted in the last ~23 hours lol
Also I think it's possible that the entire White House will get demolished and because it's the holidays and the mainstream media will try to shrug it off, the country will never fully process, kinda like what happened with COVID

Just lingering permanent damage everyone ignores. Again.
The way the online right is ignoring the White House situation is making me think there's something about the demolition that's changing a lot of opinions, they just haven't gotten freaked out enough to say it out loud yet
I try not to be a doomer but I do genuinely think people need to start preparing themselves for the White House to be completely torn down
Also, if you add up votes for Harris and third-party candidates, it totals more than what Trump got

77.9M voted third-party or Harris, 77.3M votes Trump, i.e. more people voted AGAINST Trump than for him
Yesterday I got into a light tiff with someone on Reddit who was still pushing the doomer line "over half of Americans love Trump," and I truly believe a lot of people say that knowing it's not true, but it fills some emotional need for them
Every time I hear something like this it just sounds like a variation of "yeah Trump screws people over but he won't get me, I'm different"
Me when I was 6 years old and trying to copy a cool MC Escher drawing
The account that hosts Blockenheimer now has blocked me as well (and tens of thousands of others, he's got a huge number of blocklists, very granular stuff) and Blockenheimer doesn't work for me either, so it's possible there's a connection

Or it's just broken regardless of whether we're blocked

these should all be mass-produced. every single one.

I have never liked a politician so much that I would get on the internet to negotiate how much Nazi tattoo is a acceptable amount of Nazi tattoo.

It's none! None Nazi tattoo!
I was at a pretty decent antique and thrift event in Topeka about 20 years ago and a local news personality was there shopping, and I must have heard a half-dozen versions of "HEY IT'S BETTY LOU PARDUE!" that day
I haven't had BBQ in KC in years but I have had it in small towns around Manhattan KS (and in MHK too) and even the mediocre stuff looks better than that

Obviously we don't have internet smell-o-vision or taste-o-rama so I can only go by visuals, but I question the label "best" on that BBQ
Reading the stuff on their timeline makes me think it's just a pathetic grab for attention, but these days, who even knows
The "important context missing here" is that the symbol you're complaining about is a Nazi symbol. That's the important context! It's the death's head that was famously used by the SS for over a decade!

Why on god's green earth would you say it's just some little symbol that doesn't mean anything
This isn't even remotely important in the grand scheme of things but there is something so off about his face, even when he's relatively animated and not sluggish his face just doesn't look like it did a couple of years ago. It's disturbing and I don't even really know why.
