I hate it when places try to make their bike racks look like some sort of art sculpture.
Two black staple/inverted U style bicycle racks on a sidewalk adjacent to a bike lane which have been flattened to the pavement having apparently been run over by a large vehicle.

My postal carrier has been training other carriers and I saw them walking through yards with their hoods up out of the corner of my eye. I thought it was ICE for a hot second and now I need a moment to calm down. 😮‍💨

Everything about this sucks.

How to accurately record ice activity. Remember the salute method for reporting ice sightings: Ohio number: 419-777-4357. S: Size of group of officers, ex: six or more. A: actions/activity: what are they doing? Ex: outside of cars, talking to each other. L: location: address or street names. Ex: mock Park, corner of mock road and century drive. U: uniform/clothes: look for letters ex: all black, with ballistic vests that say DHS T: time/date ex: 11:40 a.m., December 18th, E: equipment/weapons ex: two people with zip ties on belts, forearm, two black unmarked SUVs Know your power, what to do if you see someone being detained, whistle. Keep a whistle in your car or purse. Blow it to alert the area that ice is near or to draw attention to what's going on. Record film horizontally, narrate what's happening, date, time. It is legal to record. See next slide. Advise. Remind the person being detained that they have legal rights regardless of citizenship. Tell them not to speak unless it's to a lawyer. Pass. Call out to the person "Is there someone I can call for you?". Call immediately so the family can get legal help. Tell them you recorded the event Know your power. How to effectively record a video. One : ask permission to record from the person being detained. Get their name. Two: Ensure audio and video camera is on in filming horizontally. Three: get information of the officer's name, badge and agency. Four: narrate the date, time, and location of the event. Five: contact family member, report to 419-777-4357 Know your rights, educate, make fliers. If ice agents show up at your door. 1) you do not have to open the door. If you do, Stay calm-you have rights. 2) ask what they are there for( and ask for an interpreter if you need one). 3) if they ask to enter, ask if they have a warrant signed by a judge and if so ask to see it (through a window or slipped under the door). 4) if they do not have a warrant signed by a judge you may refuse to let them in. Ask them to leave any information at your door. 5) if they force their way in, do not resist. tell everyone in the residents to remain silent. 6) if you are arrested, you have the right to remain silent.
