These were still in use into the 1970's.
One of my teachers pulled out the stitching on one. He then put in a row of coins and stitched it back up. It hurt.

He actually sewed coins in to make it hurt more!
What sort of sadist does that?

As an immigrant it really hit me when Starmer said I helped cause incalculable damage to the UK & that I helped turn it into an island of strangers.

I know he really didn't mean someone like me. He meant brown people. That makes it worse and doesn't make me feel any better about it.

Until FPTP is ditched, we're screwed.

The only government likely to ditch it is whatever party gets in after Reform have spent a few years ruining the country.

Or possibly people are sick and tired being told to vote for a party other than the one they want, in the hope of keeping the worse party out.

That hasn't worked. All it results in the the elected party moving further right, knowing the left votes are locked in.

You seem to be under the mistaken belief that these are being built as homes. They are not.

Their primary function is as an investment vehicle.
