society is simply not built for tall people. if youre like 6'0, sure, but once you get north of 6'5 everything sucks. youre squished in cars, on planes, in stadiums, you name it.

I kept my name (duh) and ppl always assume it’s hard to do? like I’d run into situations where it would be a problem? I was hospitalized in an emergency situation and my husband with a different last name had no issues visiting me. it’s really a non issue.
If you are getting married soon and on the fence about changing your name, my vote is for keeping your maiden name! Not because of the risk of divorce (though there’s that too), but because it’s a PITA with no tangible benefit. Change it socially but not legally, if you want.

I had a prof with weekly writing assignments I kept getting C’s on and no idea why. I finally went to his TA’s office hours to be like wtf and he was like yeah prof is a dinosaur who deducts if not structured in this XYZ way. I got A’s the rest of semester. never once occurred to me to complain
