Artists! People who draw specifically! I have a question: what websites/sources do you use for reference pictures? After refern sadly shut down I'm getting frustrated with pinterest (since it's still flooded with slop).

Thanks a lot, I will check them out! Do you have any recommendation for finding also references for landscapes and non human animals? I think I will end up managing my references offline in my hard drive, but I still have to find them somewhere (other than my crappy photos on the phone)

I think Betty Friedan in her "Feminine Mystique" made a similar point too. Or better, asked the question of how was it that after buying another machine to make the floor shiny women still felt dead inside and somehow had no time to dedicate to themselves

Io a undici anni mi innamorai di Ann Halam (pseudonimo di Gwyneth Jones) e del suo Siberia. Poi adesso sto recuperando altri suoi libri come L'isola del dottor Franklin,lei è sempre un po' più distopica ma con storie molto belle e concetti sci-fi interessanti.

But if the choice is between giving my sensitive data to third party actors and following artists, I probably would keep my data and slowly let go of that one thing that improved my mood. At least initially, then I would try to find other solutions

Kind of like a reverse nudge, where I make it more cumbersome for you to reach people or content that make you less miserable. I don't know, I think of how thanks to Bsky I get to follow a lot of artists whose art improves my day, and if I were on instagram I would be waaay more miserable

Genndy Tartakovsky shared test footage from his film ‘The Black Knight’. It follows a knight who controls a 20ft suit of armor. Sony isn't sure there's an audience for the film and haven’t greenlit it yet.

Yes, and that's the point. Causality needs further research, which means we don't know if tylenol causes autism (likely not). It is dangerous to assume that something causes something else when you have no material proof. Take it from someone who's doing actual research. Correlation is not causation

Imagine if NPR had actually talked to safe streets advocates for this story and learned how the solutions to drivers killing people is not, in fact, victim blaming
