Absolute banger of a sunset tonight. It was stand outside for 15 minutes with my mouth open before remembering to get a few photos kind of good.

Spooky stuff for the holidays, y'all! Get a book for someone on your list and one for you, so you can go hide and read it if the family gets to be Too Much.
HOLIDAY SHOPPERS: heads up, y'all. I've got links. I've got books. I've got stuff on sale, and you can find it all here:

Please, Apple, do this one right.
Neuromancer by @greatdismal.bsky.social finally gets a TV series. Could be amazing, but expectations will be high from all of us who read these books when we were young.

Count Zero was a personal fave.
Apple TV's New Cyberpunk Show That Was Called 'Unfilmable' Is the Sci-Fi Event of the Decade
One book-to-screen adaptation that was once thought impossible is finally coming to Apple TV next year--and we couldn't be more excited.

For a lot of my life, the thought of my dad dying of "natural causes" didn't even seem possible. But he did and lived a good, long life. I miss him and am thinking of all my friends, his friends, business acquaintances and two of his past lovers that were lost to the disease.

Also, my dad tested HIV positive in the early 90's. It was still a death sentence then and by the grace of science & medicine, he was able to start taking the new antiviral drug right when it came out. He lived a long & mostly healthy life, dying unfortunately after a fall at home.

And for World AIDS Day today, I’m reposting this important, sensitive, and profound essay. We all had, and have, our lists of love.
For World AIDS Day, which is Dec. 1 and which is being ignored by the Trump administration because they dislike the World Health Organization, other countries, science, and queer people, I'm reposting a piece I wrote earlier this year. (They also hate history.) www.vulture.com/article/hiv-...
The List Keepers
The AIDS crisis shattered Broadway, and the scope of the loss has never been fully accounted for. Some kept their own records.

Wearing my Weyland-Yutani Bioweapons Division sweatshirt today and also thinking we do a re-watch "Aliens" tonight. Boyfriend has never been been around to witness that I parrot practically every line of dialogue along with the movie. I think it's time to break him in. *cracks knuckles*
