🚨 I think I speak for every New Yorker when I say: this is egregious.

We demand the officer identify himself—plainclothes cops boarding trains, flashing badges, and dragging people off with no transparency is how you breed fear, not safety.

NYPD or ICE, show us the badge.

In LA, DC, and elsewhere, DHS officers are reportedly pulling over work vans without warning and detaining everyone inside.

I posted about this on X, and Tricia McLaughlin, the DHS spokesperson, QTed me to say the kid was actually a hardened criminal arrested with a knife and a gun.

So far she has provided no evidence of this. I share this to give DHS's response, and for the possibility she is telling the truth.

I wonder if all the people braying about the "war on Christianity" might raise some objections if it were a *Democratic* administration who had its armed thugs shooting priests in the head with pepper balls and waiting outside Catholic Churches to disappear parishioners?

Wow, wow, wow. This has always been legally possible but the law has virtually never been enforced — and now this is the SECOND case I've heard of in the last month (first involving a person with a green card) of a noncitizen being charged for failure to carry their papers.

National Guard perhaps? Doing what they are supposed to be doing.
